To evaluate the different substrates of non -ruminant animals with African giant worms (Eudrilus eugeniae). The work was carried out at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) -Academic Unit of Serra Talhada (UAST) -PE, being divided into two stages, in the first the substrates were produced and in the second the vermicompost was produced. After the end of the 35-day vermicompost, the counting of the worms, washing and weighing were carried out, where they had the in-natura weight of each repetition of the treatments, after being added in identified bags and taken to the final drying oven, at the end removed the bag and weighed again getting the dry weight. The variance analysis was performed for thefollowing variables: N, Ca, Mg, P, K, Zn, Cu, B, Fe, Mn, CTC, pH, and weight of adult worms. African giant earthworms showed better development on the substrate with rabbit manure. The vermicompost presented the best chemical composition and higher levels of macro and micronutrients with rabbit manure substrate.Item Avaliação de extratos de mamona Ricinus communis e do coité Crescentia cujete L. no controle de Aphis craccivora Koch (Hemiptera: Aphididae) em feijão caupi(2019) Ferreira, Vandeilson Bezerra; Evangelista Júnior, Walter Santos; Nascimento, Antônio Henrique Cardoso do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5216997634308364; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6728342264331935; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2799857312943263Controlling agricultural pests is a practice that has been undergoing innovations constantly. The use of plant extracts appears as an alternative of pest control and is recommended mainly in family agriculture, and in fields of production mainly in organic agriculture, being a low cost product, easy to obtain and high effectiveness in pest control. The extracts of the plants of MamoneiraRicinuscommunisand CoitéCrescentiacujeteL. are promising in the natural control of pests, as they have toxic substances such as ricin, phenolic compounds and flavonoids, respectively. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of the extracts of these plants on the black aphid mortality of the common bean Aphis craccivora(Hemiptera: Aphididae). Mamona and Coité extracts caused a high mortality on black bean aphid with rates of 74.69% and 70.23%, respectively. Comparing the black aphid mortality in the different extracts per day after the application of the extracts, it was verified that the Mamona extract had a higher mortality rate (84.86%) on the first day of evaluation and the second day had a coefficient of 81.3%. However, there was no difference between the plant extracts during the five days of evaluation and they differed from the control throughout the evaluation period, which reinforces the efficiency of the use of these extracts in the control of this pest, as well as the necessity of use of control methods. It is concluded that the plant extracts of Mamona and Coité are efficient in controlling the mortality of black aphid A. craccivoraand contribute to the management of this pest in family agriculture, organic and agroecologicalcrops.Item Difusão de tecnologia para confecção de defumadores artesanais(2021-01-28) Santos, Jéssica Helen Magalhães dos; Nascimento, Antônio Henrique Cardoso do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5216997634308364; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9433653943095205Smoking is an ancient technique used in the preservation of products of animal origin to improve the quality of the food, besides attributing specific characteristics derived from smoking such as texture, color, flavor and odor in the food that are inserted through the spraying of smoke. The tomato crop is very demanding in water, its water demand requires an irrigation practice to obtain an optimum dry crop production in the season. Through the technology of economic channels, it is possible to save water in tomato production through subsurface irrigation. The objective is to evaluate the growth and production of tomato under different irrigation depths in the economic channels with mulching, applying or increasing in family farming. The experiment was conducted in the factorial scheme (5 x 2) x 4, with subdivided plots, in the DBC, without which was the effect of 5 irrigation depths (50%, 75%, 100%, 125% and 150% of ETc) on two tomato cultivars: RIO GRANDE (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) and CALINE IPA-7 (Lycopersicones culentum Mill.), arranged in four replications. The EVALUATED characteristics were: plant diameter (DC); Plant height (H); number of leaves (NF); lateral branches (NR); number of floral branches (NRFL); weight per fruit (P / F); average fruit diameter (DIA); volume (VOL); density (DS); production (PROD) and productivity (PRODT) and water use efficiency. An IPA7 cultivar does not differ statistically in terms of water use, showing that it is possible to produce tomatoes with low water consumption and 75% undifferentiated production and use when compared to a standard that obtains, therefore, a saving of 25% of (100 % Etc). According to these results, the applied technology of economic beds with mulching is ideal for saving water in food production aiming at water use efficiency in family farming.Item Rendimento produtivo do rabanete cultivado sob diferentes lâminas de irrigação e qualidades de adubação(2019) Sá, Carlos André de Souza; Nascimento, Antônio Henrique Cardoso do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5216997634308364; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3285445362250128Water stress along the radish crop cycle may interfere with its development, causing changes in morphology, interfering with the biochemical reactions of the plant. The objective of this work was to evaluate the productive yield of radish (Raphanus sativus L.) cultivated under different irrigation depths and fertilization qualities, from September to December 2019, in the Serra Talhada Academic Unit - UFRPE/UAST. The design adopted was in a factorial scheme (5 x 3) x 4 consisting of five irrigation depths (50, 75, 100, 125 and 150% of The ETc), three sources of fertilization (two organic sources and one mineral source as control treatment) and four replications, in randomized blocks with arrangement of subdivided plots. Campaigns were carried out to obtain biometric and biomass data. Of the biometric parameters, the following parameters were analyzed: shoot height, number of leaves, plant weight, commercial diameter, root system length and root weight. Biomass was performed to determine the efficiency of water use. The irrigation depth of 113.2% of the ETc provided higher production of the commercial part of the radish. It was found that the efficiency of water use is maximized with the use of smaller irrigation depths. It is feasible to partially or fully replace mineral fertilization with organic fertilization for the production of radish.
