The growing number of Japanese food restaurants in the northern part of the city of Recife, the breaking of paradigms regarding the taste of this gastronomic specificity, as well as its relationship with the consumption and eating habits of diners justifies the elaboration of this work, which aims to study the fads and food adaptations present in the habits of the population, related to the consumption of Japanese food, whether they really appreciate it or whether theyare influenced by marketing and culinary fads. In order to carry out data collection, the questionnaire was used, in addition to unsystematic and non-participant personal observation, based on these analyzes and for categorizing the data, graphs and tables were elaborated that enabled the results and discussions to be made feasible. . It was noted that there is a total adaptation of taste by Japanese food consumers and that there are also other factors that are associated with this frequency in restaurants. Another fact to be highlighted is the total possibility of the presence of a Home Economics professional working in the studied markets, with broad and active training in this area of research.

(2020-10-10) Barros, Naylline Hills de Albuquerque; Albuquerque, Hortência Cruz de; Silva, Laurileide Barbosa da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7869325906861017; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4316127961561473; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1375627667531678
The supply of credit to the Brazilian population has grown significantly in recent years. However, the context in which this inclusion in the financial market took place brought alarming rates of family indebtedness. This problem aroused interest in promoting actions aimed at its prevention, as well as improving the relationship between individuals and finances. One of the institutions that comprised the proposal was the Central Bank of Brazil, aiming to spread financial citizenship, a concept recently discussed, which refers to the exercise of the rights and duties of individuals with regard to financial life. Financial citizenship is supported by a context of financial inclusion and education, consumer protection, and participation in the dialogue with the National Financial System. In this sense, the experience lived as a volunteer student, in the Program for the Treatment of Super-indebted Consumers (PROENDIVIDADOS) guided the accomplishment of this work, which had as its proposed objectives: to analyze financial citizenship in the daily life of indebted consumers and, specifically, to characterize the profile of users of PROENDIVIDADOS, identifying the main problems presented by consumers and assessing the exercise of financial citizenship based on the experiences of users of PROENDIVIDADOS. The methodological path adopted was based on the qualitative approach, with participant observation as an instrument of data collection. The results show that the consumers served by PROENDIVIDADOS, most of them are retired and that they have been exercising financial citizenship in a precarious way, mainly due to the way in which they are financially included, without access due to financial education and weakened in your protection. However, these factors show the urgency of actions that expand access to financial citizenship, in its broadest sense, a job to be carried out continuously and systematically, through the cooperation of different bodies, whether public or private, with the due responsibility of the State.

Taking these aspects into account it’s understood that female consumers are twice as vulnerable, as they aren’t only consumers, but also because they are women. It could also be observed the “pink tax” factor, where there is a disproportion in the values of products when they are aimed at women, understanding then it is more expensive to be a woman.

(2020-10-20) Silva, Otoniel Galdino da; Albuquerque, Hortência Cruz de; Silva, Laurileide Barbosa da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7869325906861017; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4316127961561473; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4888246035519447
With increasing globalization, the significance of consumption has even greater proportions, reaching all social groups. The most vulnerable to the appeal of advertising are children and young people, many of them in school and others entering higher education, but not always financially educated. This research aimed to investigate the indebtedness among young university students at UFRPE and the ways of accessing Financial Education. The work was developed by a methodology conducted through a qualitative and quantitative research through a survey carried out among young people from different courses of the Higher Education Institution during the month of August 2020, where the data were collected through an electronic questionnaire. applied to a sample composed of 81 enrolled students. To meet the general objective, several variables were used for the analysis, such as the socioeconomic profile, the experiences with Financial Education before and after entering higher education, the consumption profile, the behaviors in relation to finance, among others. As a result, the research identified that despite the pandemic of COVID-19, it appears that young university students at UFRPE are not very prone to debt, or at least in their perception, most do not consider themselves indebted. Of those who consider themselves indebted and also over-indebted (27.2% and 11.1%, respectively), the most common type of debt is the credit card (51.9%). It was generally perceived that students consider it important for UFRPE to have courses and lectures on financial education, as forms of access to knowledge.

(2021-07-26) Monteiro, Morgana Henrique; Silva, Laurileide Barbosa da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7869325906861017; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5647649505835610
This article presents the results of the research finished in 2016, through the Scientific Initiation Program/PIC-CNPq/UFRPE, as a requirement for equivalence to the Estágio Supervisionado Obrigatório of the Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics. This research had the goal to identify the social direction of public policies aimed at women in the municipalities of Recife, Olinda and Jaboatão dos Guararapes, in order to promote female autonomy. The methodology used was exploratory and was based on bibliographical research and on-site observation of the routine of the places where women were cared for, where data on gender relations and female autonomy in those municipalities were collected. The results obtained show that the actions aimed at women were concentrated in services specialized in assisting women in situations of domestic and/or sexist violence and programs that enable women's economic autonomy, whether offering professional training or entrepreneurship courses. In view of the results presented, it was possible to affirm that the policies aimed at women were characterized as welfare policies and, in the context of the precarious era, they needed to advance towards structuring actions, understanding and intervening in the problem of women in the broader context of the whole of the logic of capital.
