    Adaptação de novos genótipos de videira para o fortalecimento da vitivinicultura no Nordeste brasileiro

    Vitiviniculture is an activity that has great importance for the Brazilian economy, providing employment and income generation. Brazil faces several challenges for the production of grapes and wines that are of good quality, thus meeting the requirements of the market. The present work had the objective of characterizing and evaluating the phenological and productive behavior of 10 grapevine cultivars cultivated in Agreste Meridional de Pernambuco. The experiment was installed in the Municipality of Brejão. Ten grape cultivars were studied for the elaboration of fine wines: Muscat Petit Grain, Merlot Noir, Carbenet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Pinor Noir, Malbec, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Chardonnay. The experiment was carried out in a vineyard with approximately three years and ten months of age, in a straightedge conduction system, spaced 3.0 x 1.0 m and irrigated by micro sprinkler. The experimental design was in randomized blocks with four replicates and plots constituted by eight plants. The phenological characterization, the thermal requirement, ravaz index, estimated yield (kg / plant), number of bunches per plant, physical and chemical characteristics of the curds of the different cultivars were evaluated in the different subperiods of the crop by means of visits weekly to the experimental area. Two plants of each cultivar were marked by block for the monitoring of phenology. The cultivar Muscat Petit Grain (120 days) presented a shorter cycle, being the earliest cycle, the highest cycle was for the Viognier and Cabernet Sauvignon cultivars. In relation to the production, the cultivars Malbec and Petit Verdot presented good physicochemical characteristics that consequently influence the quality of the wine, indicating also good adaptation in the study period and potential for the studied region.

    The experiment carried out at the Nova Neruda farm, located in the city of Petrolina - PE, aimed to experience the activities related to the production of table grapes in the largest producing region of the country. In the property are produced several varieties, among them, grapes and ink, which are: BRS Isis, BRS Victory, Cotton Candy, Crimson and Sugar Crisp. The company destines its production mainly for export, however, a part of the demand is for the domestic market. During the stay at the estate, several activities related to the productive cycle of the vine were developed, such as dry pruning, Dormex® applications, dry bundling and branching, green bundling, defoliation, berry and bunches thinning, gibberellic acid applications and precleaning and harvesting. All these experiences showed how a company / farm day-to-day life is, adding the knowledge acquired in the classroom to the knowledge and experience of the field, and putting them into practice. It also showed the importance of group work for the success of the company, showing the experience of the field worker and his responsibilitie. In this way, the internship has gained experience on the labor market and how the business structure of a farm producing table grapes of the highest quality, combining academic knowledge with practical work and can serve as a trigger for the beginning of a professional career.

    The obligatory supervised stage was held at the Nova Neruda farm, located in the city of Petrolina - PE, and had the purpose of accompanying through the experience all the activities related to the production of table grapes in the largest fruit producing region of the country and one of the largest world. The varieties produced in the property are: BRS Vitória, BRS Isis, both of them created by Embrapa; Sugar Crisp®, Cotton Candy® and Crimson which are foreign varieties. The company always tries to destine its production mainly to the export, but also serves a part of the demand of the domestic market. During the internship process, several activities related to the productive cycle of the grapevine were developed, such as dry pruning, Dormex® application, dry mooring and branch management, sprouting, shoot density control, green bundling, defoliation and shading control, thinning berry control, bunching of bunches, pre-cleaning, monitoring of pest and disease management, monitoring of irrigation management, and fertigation and harvesting. The activities developed in the packing house were also experienced, accompanying from the arrival of the fruit of the field, passing through the packing, quality control until the palletization and loading of the grape in the truck. The knowledge acquired in the classroom together with the experience gained in the activities carried out during the day-to-day life at the farm provided great learning on many aspects, both of the technical part of the agronomist profession, and of the social part of developing a work in team, fundamental to the good training of a professional and the success of the company. During every stage, the responsibility of these people was highlighted, always seeking a sustainable and quality production.
