Arte, política e transformação social: propostas antifascistas em arte educação
(2023-09-27) Azevedo, Kethylle Layane Nascimento Tavares de; Barros, Lilian Débora de Oliveira;  http://lattes.cnpq.br/2102439803472317
Bearing in mind the connection between Art and Politics, we highlight Art Education as an instrument of social transformation. This research aims to build a set of pedagogical practices for the visual arts based on an Antifascist proposal. From the reflection on the principles and analysis of the historical examples of Fascism in different times, we will identify which tactics are used to transmit its ideals, especially in the present time when we have a high flow of visual communication in our society. Thus, we will discuss the relevance of visual literacy for the global development of the individual, while highlighting Art Education as a practice for building a critical sense that enables political awareness in the school environment. The theoretical framework includes discussions about contemporary society and its relationship with visual communication; presents concepts and historiographical traces of Nazi-fascism and Anti-fascism, in addition to relating the visual discourse of Jair Bolsonaro, former president of Brazil (2018-2022), to Nazi-fascist practices; Based on this, we explore Paulo Freire's notion of transformative education combined with Ana Mae's triangular approach to teaching the visual arts. The adopted methodological procedures consisted of the investigation on historiographical and visual analysis of the discussed concepts and the comparative interpretation of images. The data obtained indicate the need and relevance of inserting the debate on the Antifascita theme in the classroom, hence, a set of educational proposals for the visual arts based on the Antifa movement were elaborated. Based on the results and discussions presented, it is deemed that in the current context of our society, visual communication is very present and can be a tool used by Nazi-fascist movements to perpetuate their ideals. Thus, we emphasize the role of the visual arts in a transformative education that promotes political awareness and critical reflection.

This paper aims to discuss the setbacks between the legal discourses of the Child Assistance Service (SAM) about abandoned and destitute children and the scenario of social vulnerability and violence experienced by children and adolescents, between 1960 and 1962, in the city from Recife. In a theoretical-methodological way, the work adopts the perspective of children and adolescents as historical. Therefore, in the first chapters, the work started from the historical contextualization of the creation of the Service and identified its internal problems and its goals of discipline and control, based on Foucault's studies. Then, in the third chapter, explained both the violent and repressive way that the SAM applied in Recife, using material from the Diário de Pernambuco, published throughout January 1960, which denounce the hospitalization of a teenager done in such a way. abusive and inappropriate. As well as, in the last chapter, based on the trajectory of Abelardo da Hora as an engaged artist and his artistic production as a social denunciation, he exposed the scenario of vulnerability that children and adolescents suffered from the analysis of engraving 22, from the Meninos do Recife series (1962), by the plastic artist. In this chapter, the theoretical and methodological aspects of the use of art in History, the conceptualization of intellectual being, the role of the artist in society, engaged and militant art, among others, will be deepened. In this way, the work intends to contribute to the historiography of childhoods so that children and adolescents can be considered as autonomous and protagonists of their own history. It also presents itself as relevant and innovative when identifying as setbacks between legislation and as different social realities of Recife from alternative and artistic sources, highlighting the importance of aesthetic-political education (GOMES, 2019) in the construction of historical awareness, leading to not only rationality counts, but also subjectivity, thus building a more humanized and less exclusive historiographical modus operandi.
