The creation of this instrument enabled the elaboration of theories that are still fundamental for Biology today. However, due to several limitations, the experience of most students in Basic Education with this instrument is unsatisfactory. Consequently, interest in scientific activities is negatively affected, requiring actions that encourage them. Aiming to popularize Science and strengthen knowledge about microscopy, outreach activities were carried out with elementary school students from a state public school located in Camaragibe (Pernambuco). The educational intervention consisted of: a) retrieval of prior knowledge; b) interactive lecture using optical and digital microscope models; c) workshop on optical microscope manipulation and making of a handcrafted microscope model; d) discussion and socialization of knowledge. In general, the pedagogical strategies using microscopy made the learned content more interesting and meaningful, awakening the playful, creative, curious, reflective and investigative side of the public. They not only contributed to the expansion of knowledge about microscopy and helped to adjust alternative conceptions, but they also allowed the development of additional scientific skills, so necessary for the mobilization of educational competences. Added to this aspect, the literature points out that the lack of information among the general population on this subject is quite remarkable. In order to deconstruct the myths surrounding evolution, the aim of this paper was to verify the prior knowledge of high school students about Biological Evolution as well as to spread the current concepts on this subject, especially Human Evolution. To assess the prior knowledge of students, a questionnaire containing closed-ended questions to high school students was used. Subsequently, through exhibitions, the real concepts of biological evolution are presented, using posters; slides; human skull and playful learning resources. This act is very pertinent, because the evaluation of the questionnaires showed that a large percentage of students still have misconceptions about the evolution. Putting the human being as the most evolved species, and consequently imagining that evolution is directed, seeking a perfect species. At this point the use of teaching resources helped to improve understanding of biological evolution.Item Análise de material didático para a abordagem de questões sociocientíficas (QSC) na perspectiva de professores de Química da educação básica(2024-07-25) Silva, José Jonas da; Firme, Ruth do Nascimento; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7234636790850019; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4208955531756095The approach to Socioscientific Issues (CSQ) in science teaching enables students to discuss social, environmental and economic issues, of a controversial nature and related to science, in the school context. This approach enables the contextualization of school content from the perspective of citizen science. Therefore, the objective of this research was to analyze the contributions and limitations of a didactic material developed for the implementation of the approach of Socioscientific Issues in the teaching of Chemistry from the perspective of Chemistry teachers in Basic Education. Five methodological stages were developed: literature review (stage 1); preparation of didactic material for the implementation of the approach to Socioscientific Issues in the teaching of Chemistry (stage 2); preparation and application of the questionnaire for the evaluation of the didactic material prepared (stage 3); teacher evaluation (stage 4); organization, systematization and analysis of data (step 5). A qualitative approach to the data was adopted (Minayo, 2004). Four basic education chemistry teachers participated in the research. The teachers identified contributions and limitations of the didactic material entitled: "A proposal for the approach of the socio-scientific question The dilemma of automobiles: fuel versus battery from the mock jury as a didactic strategy", such as: allowing a connection between the QSC and Science; having the Socio-Scientific Question as the central focus of the proposal and the QSC being approached as a real-world context and allowing discussion on social dimensions of science (contributions); not ensuring the participation of all students in higher-order practices (argumentation, reasoning and decision-making); the level of previous knowledge of the students about the QSC and stage 5 as the only moment for the discussion of scientific content in the Practices of confrontation of scientific content with the Socioscientific Question (limitations).Item Análise de material didático para abordagem da Natureza da Ciência (NdC) no ensino de química na perspectiva de professores de química em formação inicial(2024-10-02) Freitas, Wirolhayne Carla de; Firme, Ruth do Nascimento; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7234636790850019; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6972594555093223A Natureza da Ciência (NdC) é uma abordagem que pode ser articulada à perspectiva da Ciência Cidadã, ou seja, a uma visão de ciência para todos. Além disso, no âmbito educacional, considera-se que saber sobre a NdC é tão relevante quanto compreender os conteúdos científicos (Bejarano et al., 2019). Entretanto, professores e estudantes podem ter compreensões equivocadas sobre a NdC (McComas et al., 2002). Nesse sentido, o desenvolvimento da abordagem da NdC no contexto escolar pode melhorar as atitudes de professores e estudantes sobre a ciência. Adicionalmente, existe uma escassez de materiais didáticos relacionados à NdC (Massoni, 2010 apud Peduzzi; Raicik, 2020). Portanto, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar o uso de materiais didáticos para a abordagem da Natureza da Ciência na perspectiva de professores de Química em formação inicial. Metodologicamente, contou-se com a participação três licenciandos de Química e foram seguidas cinco etapas: revisão da literatura (etapa 1); elaboração de materiais didáticos para a implementação da abordagem da Natureza da Ciência (NdC) no ensino de Química (etapa 2); elaboração de questionário para avaliação dos materiais didáticos pela plataforma Google Forms (etapa 3); avaliação dos materiais didáticos elaborados por professores de Química em formação inicial (etapa 4);organização, sistematização e análise dos dados (etapa 5). Para a revisão da literatura foram adotados pressupostos da Revisão Integrativa (Souza et al, 2010). Na análise da revisão da literatura, foram consideradas três categorias analíticas: objetivos apontados nas pesquisas sobre a NdC no ensino de ciências; tipos de pesquisas desenvolvidas nas pesquisas sobre a NdC no ensino de ciências; resultados apontados nas pesquisas sobre a NdC no ensino de ciências. Na análise da avaliação do material didático pelos licenciandos, as categorias de análise foram: contribuições do material didático para a abordagem da Natureza da Ciência; e limitações do material didático para a abordagem da Natureza da Ciência. Os resultados da revisão da literatura indicaram objetivos diversos com ênfase em discussões voltadas para as concepções de NdC, pesquisas do tipo teórica e documental, e como resultados, por exemplo, o fato dos documentos oficiais nacionais não se referem explicitamente à NdC. Adicionalmente, identificou-se que nenhum dos artigos envolveu o uso de materiais didáticos para a abordagem da NdC no ensino de ciências. Foi considerando esse aspecto que o material didático intitulado “Uma proposta para a abordagem da Natureza da Ciência (NdC) a partir do episódio histórico A vida e as descobertas científicas de Marie Curie utilizando História em Quadrinhos como estratégia didática”foi elaborado. The game, which uses a board and cards as a platform, takes place in Recife, in the 1920s, and aims to insert students in discussions about the different conceptions linked to the Modernist Movement in Recife, Pernambuco, as well as to show some of the changes present in the city linked to the processes of modernization of spaces and their consequences in the form of leisure in society. Through the game, students will be able to understand the impact of some modern inventions in the formation of new patterns of urban coexistence, as well as be able to participate directly in the debates related to the different projects of Brazilian modernism. The main plot of the game is inspired by the intellectual conflicts between Gilberto Freyre and Joaquim Inojosa, who disputed ideas about what would represent, in the intellectual, cultural and artistic spheres, an authentic Brazilian, Northeastern and Pernambuco identity. While Freyre defended a modernism linked to regional tradition and the past, Inojosa supported a rupture with the past in order to build a modernism linked to the new inventions brought about by modernization. Therefore, the purpose of the game is to present information that will contribute to the construction of some historical concepts, such as modernization, modernism and modernity.Item Educação em saúde para prevenção das doenças tropicais negligenciadas causadas por parasitos, no contexto da saúde única(2022-06-03) Silva, Bárbara Cristine dos Santos; Oliveira, Jaqueline Bianque de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2856383385211373; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3799650346827557Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) are a major public health problem worldwide. They are endemic to tropical developing countries, do not receive attention from governments, and are strictly related to socioeconomic vulnerability. It's necessary, for the effective control of these diseases, the implementation of public policies, health programs and health education which allows the transformation of the individual so that they can provide a change in their reality, especially when using support material and playfulness. The One Health approach integrates strategies from the inseparable view of human, animal, plant and ecosystem health. Thus, the objective of this study was to produce educational material and evaluate its effectiveness for health promotion about parasitic NTDs that occur in Pernambuco, applying the One Health approach. For this, educational actions were carried out with playful didactic material in two state schools located in the city of Recife. For data collection, of the 95 students that participated in the research, a questionnaire composed of objective and discursive questions was used, before and after the educational activities. In all the questions about NTDs and One Health, an increase in knowledge on the subject was observed, with statistically significant results (p≤ 0.05), attesting the effectiveness of the material and methodology used. In conclusion, the study demonstrated that the educational action was satisfactory and effective for obtaining knowledge about NTDs in the context of One Health, and expresses the importance of carrying out strategic educational actions to promote health.Item Educação em saúde para prevenção das Infecções de Transmissão Hídrica e Alimentar causadas por parasitos com ênfase na Saúde Única(2022-06-03) Silva, Andreza Jocely da; Oliveira, Jaqueline Bianque de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2856383385211373; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3986248628167640Food and Water Transmitted Infections (FWTI) affect mainly socioeconomically vulnerable populations in developing countries, with children being the most affected. The FWTI interfere with children's physical and cognitive development and can even lead to their death. Approaches in the context of One Health are important in the management and control of these infections, along with health education, which is one of the main strategies in the fight against these diseases. Those approaches enable changes in habits that are capable of life quality improvement, being the school environment a convenient space for health promotion, prevention, and education. Therefore, the objective of this research was to carry out activities, build didactic material and evaluate its effectiveness in health promotion regarding the FWTI, using the One Health approach in two municipal schools in the city of Recife, Pernambuco. The educational actions were carried out with 8th and 9th grade students and took place in three moments: (1) application of a questionnaire before the educational actions, to verify the knowledge they already had on the subject; (2) educational activities that consisted of video presentation, reading and delivery of cordel literature, bingo game and human board game; (3) application of the same questionnaire after the educational activities were completed to verify the learned knowledge. In total, 86 students participated in the study. In the first assessment, 40.2% said they didn’t know the FWTI; 83.7% reported not being aware of how FWTI are transmitted; 82.6% didn’t know how to prevent FWTI; 100% didn’t know what is One Health and 100% didn’t know the relationship between One Health and FWTI. In the second evaluation, 100% became aware of all the mentioned FWTI; 81.4% and 83.7% said they were aware of how FWTI are transmitted and prevented, respectively; 66.3% came to understand the concept of One Health and 24.4% said they understood the relationship between One Health and the FWTI. Statistical analysisshowed (p ≤ 0.05) that the educational actions and the used materials contributed to the students' learning on the topic addressed, demonstrating that an actively methodology is quite effective for the apprehension and fixation of information. The results also show the importance of One Health theme’s implementation in school curriculum, since the earlier society learns about its place in the environment, the higher awareness of their impact about it.Item Elaboração e validação de estudo de caso para entender a relação e importância da alimentação e do exercício físico no controle da acne(2023-04-13) Guimarães, Emmanuel Sousa; Cadena, Marilia Ribeiro Sales; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6434031656742674; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9031498492518173A acne é uma doença muito comum entre adolescentes e a pele é um órgão que precisa ser abordado durante o ensino de Biologia na escola. Pesquisas recentes apontam que o quadro clínico da acne pode obter melhora com implementação de dieta de baixo índice glicêmico e a prática regular de atividade física. Desta forma, o presente trabalho objetiva a elaboração e validação de um estudo de caso como recurso de ensino para auxiliar professores e alunos do Ensino Médio na compreensão da fisiopatologia da acne e a relação da doença com a alimentação e com o exercício físico. Para atender aos objetivos deste trabalho, foram consultadas pesquisas que tratam da relação da acne com a alimentação e dos impactos da prática de exercício físico na saúde da pele. A maioria dos estudos que relacionam a alimentação com a acne mostrou-se favorável à piora do quadro clínico em pacientes que seguiam dietas de alto índice glicêmico e rica em laticínios. Os efeitos indiretos do exercício físico na pele estão relacionados com a melhora da hidratação e redução do estresse. Em seguida foi feita a produção de estudo de caso interdisciplinar posteriormente submetido à análise de juízes consultores (8) da pesquisa. Após a verificação dos avaliadores, foi calculado o índice de validação de conteúdo (IVC). O estudo de caso redigido após a revisão da literatura foi avaliado pelos juízes com IVC global 0,95 para as características de um bom estudo de caso e de 0,95 para as características de um produto de ensino. It also aims to contextualize food education at school as a transversal component in the school curriculum; encourage food education at school in a critical and intercultural perspective in accordance with the Base Nacional Comum Curricular. Therefore, a qualitative bibliographic study was carried out to guide the exploratory part of the research, which, albeit removed from the practical field of the school classroom, is rooted in the social concern in relation to the practical performance of the teacher as well as in student learning. We consulted studies on food education by Basílio (2016), Bila et al. (2019) and Sardinha (2016), the educational guidelines in the Base Nacional Comum Curricular and the Temas Contemporâneos Transversais (BRASIL, 2018, 2019) and interdisciplinary teaching (SILVEIRA, 2020). Hence, this article brings discussion, planning and didactic material to be worked on in the classroom through LI, based on the sociability and protagonism of students to show the importance of contextualized language teaching and to demonstrate that through the English language we are able to learn something that will be used in real life, giving meaning to language learning and mobilizing knowledge from the world.Item Estudos de cinética química a partir da elaboração e uso de uma cartilha didática sobre produtos de limpeza para lavagem de roupas(2023-09-18) Nascimento, Ismani Adalgiza do; Amaral, Edenia Maria Ribeiro do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5241130686153506; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0285664573551889The present study deals with the development and validation of a booklet that contains concepts of chemical kinetics, presented from the action of sanitizers for clothes washing. The objective of this study is to analyze the potential and limitations of the booklet, as well as to verify the participation and interaction of students during the use of the material and to evaluate how the association of the action of sanitizers to the concepts of chemical kinetics can help students understand this subject. In order for the work to be developed, after the development of the booklet, a didactic sequence composed of three moments was proposed: raising the students' previous conceptions, teamwork using the booklet and application of the final questionnaire. Through the application of this sequence, some results were obtained: Most of the students were able to conceptualize what chemical kinetics studies after the teamwork using the booklet, in addition, they associated the study of the reaction speed to other examples of everyday life, not limited to the situation presented about the action of sanitizers for clothes washing. Some potentialities of the booklet identified by the students were: accessible and clear language of the text, promotes interactivity and is playful. In addition, the students made suggestions to improve the content of the booklet: use fewer formulas, discuss more theories, and expand the approach of other subjects. The emergence of new telescopes and technological advances generate public interest in exoplanets, planets that are not in our Solar System and the ancient possibility of life on one of them. The great difficulty of educators and scientists today is to overcome the barrier of academia to bring scientific knowledge in a simplified way to elementary and high school students, as well as to the general population. In order to popularize science, this work aims to create an ebook, in novel format, that tells the story of Toin, an 18-year-old boy who travels through the Brazilian northeast to find out if there really is life in other planets. Toin, as Antônio is called by friends and family, travels through three northeastern states and lives surprising adventures in search of answers to his existential questions. Toin has an in-depth knowledge of public institutions forgotten by a large part of the Brazilian population. The methodology used was to organize scientific concepts hierarchically under a mental map, to transpose scientific knowledge about exoplanets into a story told. The story involves characters common to the scenarios of northeastern cities, so a sheet was made with data from all the characters in the novel. With this didactic product it is expected to contribute to the popularization of astronomy and overcome the barriers of academia.Item Explorando os heróis do solo: construção e validação de um kit didático para o ensino de biologia do solo no contexto do ensino básico(2025-06-30) Galvão, Gabryella Dayane Menezes; Fracetto, Giselle Gomes Monteiro; Silva, Cíntia Caroline Gouveia da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9814234807547606; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8533548378125097; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6134849404451180O solo, apesar de toda a sua importância para o funcionamento dos ecossistemas, é um recurso extremamente negligenciado, principalmente no cenário educacional. Com a criação dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS), os solos passaram a receber maior atenção, uma vez que sua preservação e bom funcionamento influenciam diretamente pelo menos 12 das 17 metas estabelecidas. Os conteúdos relacionados ao solo apresentam grande potencial interdisciplinar, e sua abordagem sob a perspectiva da Biologia, associada aos preceitos da Educação Ambiental, surge como uma alternativa viável para a inserção desse tema no contexto escolar. Diante disso, este trabalho teve como objetivo desenvolver e validar um Kit didático que possibilite o ensino de Biologia do Solo no contexto do ensino básico. Para isso, foi realizada uma análise da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) em busca das lacunas nos conteúdos de solos para as disciplinas de Ciências e Biologia para os anos finais do ensino fundamental e ensino médio. Posteriormente à análise do currículo e identificação das lacunas, foi produzido o Kit “Explorando os Heróis do Solo”, com a montagem de artefatos para a utilização de professores e alunos. Para a validação do Kit, 5 juízes especialistas na área de Biologia, Ciência do Solo e Educação foram convidados a avaliarem os materiais via formulário. Utilizou- se a escala de Likert (Concordo Totalmente – CT; Concordo – CO; Indiferente – IN; Discordo – DI; Discordo Totalmente – DT) para o cálculo do Índice de Validade do Conteúdo (IVC), considerado-se válido IVC= 0,80 ou 1,00. A análise curricular revelou negligência nos conteúdos de Solos e Biologia do Solo para os anos finais do ensino fundamental e ensino médio, com grande escassez do tema nas disciplinas de Ciências e Biologia. Com a identificação das lacunas, 7 artefatos pedagógicos foram produzidos, sendo 1 artefato para professores e 6 para aplicação em sala de aula. Os artefatos mesclam diferentes recursos e são acompanhados de sugestões de aplicação. A avaliação dos juízes se mostrou favorável à validação, e o IVC para os itens referentes a objetividade, relevância, aplicabilidade e inclusão ficou entre 0,80 e 1,00, indicando a necessidade de pequenas melhorias e a validação do Kit para a utilização em sala de aula. Como conclusão, foi possível observar que o currículo para a Educação Básica possui lacunas para os conteúdos de solos, sendo este visto apenas nas perspectivas da geografia e desconsiderando as possibilidades de abordagem interdisciplinar. Além disso, o trabalho reforça a importância de utilizar recursos educativos atrativos e diversos, de modo que sejam inclusivos e atendam a diferentes realidades educacionais. O Kit “Explorando os Heróis do Solo” tem potencial de aplicação e pode fortalecer o ensino de biologia do solo na educação básica, tornando o aprendizado significativo e chamando a atenção para as potencialidades inerentes ao ambiente edáfico. O uso de materiais interativos e interdisciplinares representa uma estratégia inovadora, que quebra com a educação conservadora e preza pela interatividade e processos de ensino-aprendizagem significativos, formando estudantes conscientes sobre sustentabilidade, valorização e preservação do solo.Item Flex-Astro: recurso educacional para o ensino da astrobiologia na educação básica(2022-06-04) Souza, João Batista de; Lima, Victor Hugo Moreira de; Rodrigues, Sara Cristina Pinto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3203651092650480; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6259720330130203Information and Communication Technologies allow quick access to a large number of information, however the amount and ease of obtaining information do not imply constructed knowledge. Based on this premise, there are some didactic strategies that aim to guide students to use technological resources, such as the internet, in the learning process, including FlexQuest. In this sense, the present study aimed to produce a FlexQuest aimed at teaching astrobiology based on the principle of the Theory of Meaningful Learning. The intervention was divided into two meetings, totaling 4 hours/class. The research was applied at ECITE Luiz Gonzaga Burity, in the municipality of Ingá, State of Paraíba, for 2nd grade high school students. The result of the FlexQuest application developed was carried out in the light of the analysis of pre- and post-test questionnaires, to categorize students' knowledge and map possible changes in their learning. By analyzing the questionnaires, it can be inferred that the proposal developed provided the students with a better performance. Its proposal is also linked to offering low-cost material to be accessible to all people, regardless of socioeconomic class. The guide consists of orientations for observing the sky with the naked eye, reading external materials and questions arising from the theme about understanding the universe, information about geographic location in the terrestrial sphere, characteristics and differences between stars and stars, position of the constellations, etc. In the process of elaborating the guide, the following steps were carried out: recording the themes, textual research, graphic design, illustrations, pedagogical resources and technological resources. It can be concluded that the guide can be used as a pedagogical material in the school context due to its interdisciplinary character and critical thinking, being aligned with the new proposals of the BNCC (Base Nacional Comum Curricular) and the new model of school, the New High School, in relation to the teaching of natural sciences. We defined as a research problem: what is the relationship between teaching and material resources, school environments and teaching materials, necessary for teaching Physical Education in High School in state schools in the city of Abreu e Lima? The general objective is to analyze the relationship between the teaching of physical education and the material resources, school environments and teaching materials necessary for high school in state schools in Pernambuco. As specific objectives we define: historically understand the trajectory of Physical Education; identify the knowledge of Physical Education in the Curriculum Proposal for High School in Pernambuco; identify the characteristics of the environments and teaching materials necessary for the teaching process of Physical Education in High School; identify the impacts pointed out by teachers in relation to school environments and materials necessary for teaching the contents prescribed in the curriculum policy for Physical Education in High School in state schools in the municipality of Abreu e Lima. The research methodology was bibliographic and field in nature, with data collection through questionnaires applied to teachers at state schools in Abreu e Lima. In order to make it accessible to be used as support material for high school students and teachers, the material was organized in the form of hypertexts and made available on the internet through the Google Sites platform.
