The fragmentation of the Atlantic Forest directly threatens amphibian fauna, making it necessary to understand the physiological patterns of the species that inhabit these remnants. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between environmental variables (temperature and precipitation) and physiological indices of Boana albomarginata in a fragment of the Atlantic Forest in northeastern Brazil. Monthly collections were made between September 2023 and September 2024, with analyses of the body condition factor (K1) and the gonadosomatic (IGS), hepatosomatic (IHS), and liposomatic (ILS) indices, correlating them with climate data. The main results indicated physiological stability throughout the annual cycle, reinforcing a pattern of prolonged reproduction. In females, a positive correlation was observed between K1 and IGS, suggesting that only individuals in better body condition direct more energy toward reproduction. In males, despite the negative correlation between K1 and IGS, this relationship did not reflect a direct energy trade-off, being interpreted as a reflection of the prolonged reproduction characteristics of the species, with functionally active gonads without significant variation in mass. Temperature had a negative influence on IGS and IHS in females, indicating a reduction in reproductive and hepatic investment in the warmer months. These results suggest that B. albomarginata maintains physiological stability even under moderate environmental variations, a characteristic typical of species with prolonged reproduction. The study contributes to the knowledge of the functional ecology of the species and provides input for conservation strategies in fragmented areas of the Atlantic Forest.
